Catalyst Private Wealth is a San Francisco-based wealth advisory firm serving many technology entrepreneurs and executives. Its clients expect a modern, digital-first experience, including the ability to complete important financial paperwork securely and efficiently online.
The Problem
Before Anvil, Catalyst's onboarding process was fragmented, manual, and time-consuming. After a new client agreed to work with the firm, advisors had to collect signatures, personal information, and account details across a mix of tools including email, DocuSign, Salesforce, and LaserApp.
Because these systems did not work together, the same information often had to be entered multiple times. Clients were sometimes forced into a cumbersome process of downloading, printing, signing, scanning, and emailing forms back to the team. Internally, staff then had to manually transfer data into systems like Salesforce, Orion, and Addepar.

Anvil helped Catalyst replace its fragmented onboarding process with a single, secure digital workflow. The new experience brought together the Client Profile Questionnaire, Fee Schedule, and Discovery questions into one guided flow.
Clients now provide information once, and that data can be reused across forms and systems automatically. The workflow removes unnecessary fields, saves progress automatically, and allows clients to complete the process on their own schedule.
Behind the scenes, Anvil automatically populates the firm's original forms and integrates with tools including DocuSign for signatures, Dropbox for file storage, and Salesforce for client record updates.
