Add help tips to Webforms

As users are filling in Webforms, there may be some questions that require more instruction. You can add help tips to your Webform fields to help guide your users through the form filling process.

In this article we’ll go over how to add help tips to your Webform fields. To add longer instructions, please see our article on explanation text instead.

Help tips keep your Webform streamlined and provide your users with quick explanations. They’re desktop and mobile friendly and can be viewed by either hovering over or tapping on the question mark icon.

The question mark icon is found to the right of the field label

To add help tips to Webform fields:

  1. Navigate to the Workflow editor
  2. Click on the Webform field you want to add a help tip to
  3. Type your text into the Help Tip field in the field editor panel The help tip field is underneath the description field

Note: To remove a help tip, follow steps 1-2 above then clear the text entered in your Help Tip field.
